Configure Copernico from Timingsense

Register the integration with Copernico (Timingsense) and activate it in your event to synchronize registrations with your timing company.

Last updated: June 11, 2026

Copernico is the timing platform of Timingsense. With this integration, your event registrations in Add On Sport are sent directly to Copernico, without the need to manually export and import files.

Prerequisites

  • An account in Copernico / Timingsense Cloud (usually managed by your timing company).
  • The API Key (company token) from Copernico. If you do not have it, request it from Timingsense or your timekeeper.

Step 1: register the integration (organizer)

  1. Go to Organizer → Integrations
  2. Click Add integration
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Name: an identifying name (for example, "Copernico – My timekeeper")
    • Description: optional, helps you distinguish integrations if you have several
    • Type: select the timing type
    • API Key: paste the key provided by Timingsense
  4. Save the changes

The name and API Key are mandatory. Once saved, the integration is available for all your events.

For security, the API Key is not displayed again: when editing the integration you will see the masked key. If you change it, simply overwrite the new key.

From this same screen you can activate/deactivate, edit or delete each organizer integration.

Step 2: activate the integration in the event

  1. Enter the event panel and go to Integrations
  2. You will see your integrations grouped by type, with their status in this event
  3. Click on the Copernico integration to open its detail page
  4. Turn on the Integration status switch and confirm

Only one timing integration can be active per event. By activating one, any other of the same type is deactivated. By deactivating the Copernico integration, all records already synchronized in Timingsense for that event are also deleted.

Step 3: create the event in Timingsense

With the integration active, in the Available actions section:

  1. Click Create Event in TimingSense
  2. The platform automatically creates the event in Timingsense Cloud with the data configured in Add On Sport
  3. When finished, you will see the confirmation Event created in TimingSense

From this moment on, you can synchronize participants. See Synchronize participants.

Integration detail page

On the event integration detail page you will find:

  • Integration status: switch to activate or deactivate it in this event
  • Technical information: the configured API Key (masked) and the description
  • Available actions (only with the integration active): create the event in Timingsense and synchronize participants, with a counter of the participants already sent
