Set up Copernico by Timingsense

Register the Copernico (Timingsense) integration and activate it in your event to sync registrations with your timing company.

Copernico is Timingsense's timing platform. With this integration, your event's registrations on Add On Sport are sent straight to Copernico, with no manual file exports and imports.

Prerequisites

  • A Copernico / Timingsense Cloud account (usually managed by your timing company).

  • The Copernico API Key (company token). If you don't have it, ask Timingsense or your timekeeper for it.

Step 1: register the integration (organizer)

  1. Go to Organizer → Integrations

  2. Click Add integration

  3. Fill in the fields:

    • Name: an identifying name (for example, "Copernico – My timekeeper")

    • Description: optional, helps you tell integrations apart if you have several

    • Type: select the timing type

    • API Key: paste the key provided by Timingsense

  4. Save the changes

The name and the API Key are required. Once saved, the integration is available for all your events.

For security, the API Key is not shown again: when editing the integration you'll see the key masked. To change it, simply type the new key over it.

From this same screen you can enable/disable, edit or delete each organizer integration.

Step 2: activate the integration in the event

  1. Enter the event dashboard and go to Integrations

  2. You'll see your integrations grouped by type, with their status in this event

  3. Click the Copernico integration to open its detail page

  4. Turn on the Integration status switch and confirm

There can be only one active timing integration per event. Activating one deactivates any other of the same type. Deactivating the Copernico integration also deletes all the records already synced in Timingsense for that event.

Step 3: create the event in Timingsense

With the integration active, under Available actions:

  1. Click Create Event in TimingSense

  2. The platform automatically creates the event in Timingsense Cloud with the data configured in Add On Sport

  3. When it finishes, you'll see the Event created in TimingSense confirmation

From this moment you can sync participants. See Sync participants.

The integration's detail page

On the event integration's detail page you'll find:

  • Integration status: switch to activate or deactivate it in this event

  • Technical information: the configured API Key (masked) and the description

  • Available actions (only with the integration active): create the event in Timingsense and sync participants, with a counter of the members already sent
