Where to find it: Activities and sales → Access control (tabs Door, Overview, Access points, Log and Cards). The Activities and sales → Cards menu entry opens the Cards tab, the designer, directly. The digital card is in the person record and the personal area.
Every member has a digital card with photo, number and a signed QR code that expires and renews itself. The club creates access points (sports hall, main gate, a match) and each has a phone link: whoever opens it can check cards without an account or an app, with an optional PIN. Everything is logged, and the Cards tab designs and prints physical cards with QR and number.
How to do it
Create a point in “Access points → New point”: name, type (door, event, facility), optional PIN, whether it accepts shop tickets, whether it also records exits (live occupancy) and the maximum capacity. Optionally restrict entry to certain groups.
Copy the phone link (or show its QR) and open it on the door phone. The first time it asks for the PIN and a device name; afterwards it is remembered.
In the scanner: press “Tap to open the camera” and hold the card’s QR up; without a camera, type the code or the member number. Each scan beeps and vibrates: green “Go ahead”, red “Not allowed” (inactive, group not allowed, capacity), amber “Not identified”.
With exits enabled, switch between “Entry” and “Exit” to know how many people are inside.
In “Log” review every scan (person, point, result, reason, device), filter by point and dates and export to CSV. “Overview” shows today’s entries, by point, last 14 days and by hour.
In “Cards” (or from the Cards menu) create a template: orientation, background, text and accent colours or a background image, what is shown (logo, photo, number, groups, membership type, date of birth, validity, QR, code), the title, subtitle and footer texts, and the QR validity in months. The preview updates instantly; mark one template as default.
Press “Generate PDF” for all active members, a group or a membership type, on A4 sheets (10 per sheet with cut marks) or one page per card. Each person record has “Card as PDF”.
Tickets sold in the shop are validated in the same scanner (once only).
Keep in mind
The card is valid only for active members; leaving disables it.
Codes carry a signature that cannot be copied from one card to another; printed ones are valid for the months set in the template (12 by default).
If a link leaks, “Generate a new link” invalidates the previous one instantly.
The scanner works in recent Chrome and Safari; if the browser cannot read QR codes, the member number can be typed.
Card sheets in PDF carry, like every PDF, the club logo and name at the top and “Powered by Add On Sport” at the bottom.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work offline?
Scanning needs a connection to check the member status.
Do volunteers need an account?
No: the access point link is enough and, if you set one, the PIN.
Can I have the cards printed professionally?
Yes: the “one page per card” PDF uses the standard card size (85.6 × 54 mm).
