A fee's federation check

Validating registrations against a federation database: licenses, seasons, checks and scoping.

The registration check validates each registration against a federation's database: only registrations that pass are completed. It's enabled per fee with Use a check to validate registrations, in the fee editor.

Connection to the federation database

The check runs on a federation database connected to your Add On Sport account: when configuring it you choose which one to validate against under Select database.

To activate or add a connection with a federation (yours, or another discipline's), contact support from the chat or at [email protected]. The connection is enabled at account level and, once active, is available to all your events.

Validation type

The data used to look the athlete up in the federation census:

  • License only

  • ID only

  • ID and date of birth

  • License and date of birth

Accepted licenses

  • Allowed license types: national only, regional only, or both

  • The license seasons accepted for the fee

  • Processing deadline: only licenses processed before that date count

Additional checks

You can also require the athlete to have in order:

  • The required documents

  • Their federated photo

  • Their bib

  • Their chip

Scoping

  • Limit to a specific region, or exclude athletes from one

  • Limit to a specific athlete category

  • Allowed license categories

  • Minimum score, configurable per gender

Club-based registration

The check also enables registration managed by the federation's clubs:

  • Allow club registrations: clubs enter with their own access and register their census athletes

  • Club access type: via token (a link you distribute) or via the club's username and password

  • Only clubs can register: closes individual registration, leaving the fee in the clubs' hands

In team fees

  • If the team fee has no check of its own but the slot's individual fee does, each member passes their slot's check before filling in their data

  • That check can be optional: offered but skippable member by member; whoever verifies keeps their federated data

  • Allow athletes from other clubs opens the license search beyond the registering club, with a per-team limit if you set one

If verification fails, the registration is not completed. Use it only in fees genuinely reserved for federated athletes (Access restrictions).
