Limits control how many people can register. They live in the Limits tab of each fee's editor.
Registrant limit
Enable Set a registrant limit and fix the fee's maximum places. On reaching it, the fee closes on its own (or opens the waiting list, if enabled).
Limit per gender
With Limit registrations per gender you set independent quotas for male and female. When one runs out, that gender closes even if the other still has places.
Shared limits
Shared limit relations make several fees compete for the same capacity:
Example: 200 total places with "Early bird" and "General price" linked by a shared limit of 200 — when together they reach 200 registrations, both close
It prevents overselling with parallel fees over the same quota
A fee can have its own limit AND join a shared one: whichever is reached first wins
Other limits that matter
The event's participant limit and team limit (under Event information) cap the whole event above the fees
Registration links can skip the places for guests and carry their own usage cap
The website can warn when fewer than 10% of the places remain
Validity period
Besides places, a fee can close by dates: Limit registrations to specific dates restricts when that fee can be bought, within the event's general window.
