Member types, numbers and statuses

Registering someone as a member, automatic numbering, member types with an associated fee and leaving.

Where to find it: Person record → Member tab; types in Settings → Member types.

Being a “person” is not the same as being a “member”. The person exists in the database; membership adds type, number, join date and status, and it is what triggers the fee.

How to do it

  1. Define the types in Settings → Member types (athlete, full member, supporter, family…) and optionally the default fee of each.

  2. In the record press “Register as member”, choose type and date; the number is assigned automatically from the configured series.

  3. To end membership use “Leave” with a date; the history is kept and fees stop being generated.

  4. From People you can filter by member status and type and register in bulk.

Keep in mind

  • If a member type has a default fee and “assign fee on registration” is on, the fee is assigned automatically.

  • The “pending” status is meant for pre-registrations that have not paid yet.
